In an attempt to not overload my life with beauty products, you may have noticed I’ve slowed down a bit on these posts. It’s not because I don’t want to share with you guys. This just means I’m actually using products over a period of time. Some I discover on my own and others get sent to me. Some I like…and some I don’t. When I fall in love with them, I write about them here.
Let’s get started on these five cruelty-free beauty products that have recently won my heart.
I discovered this handy tarteist™ PRO Glow To Go Highlight & Contour Palette with the help of a Sephora associate. I was roaming around their store with a lost look on my face. As you know, I’m no makeup guru, so I wasn’t sure which highlight would work for me. She recommended this new palette since it gives me options. And bonus—it’s travel-size. Perfect since I never finish full-size products. I love this little guy. I can go from a subtle highlight to a dramatic look. I plan on using it all spring and summer.
My hair tends to have it’s own moments of frizz. Not too crazy, but noticeable. And most of the time I’m OK with just being one with the frizziness. But, sometimes this girl wants smooth locks after a blow out at home. I discovered Shea Moisture Argan Oil & Almond Milk Smooth & Tame Blow Out Creme at a recent conference. There it sat in my swag bag, just begging for me to try it. The first time I did…let’s just say my hair was very happy. It smells amazing and does it’s job without weighing my hair down.
Let’s just put this out in the open. I’ve used my share of makeup removing wipes. Some are just bad and some are awesome. Pacifica Cactus Water Makeup Removing Wipes are pretty awesome. Honestly, I bought them at Target because they were on sale and I wanted to try something new. I’m so glad I did. Besides taking off my makeup gently, my favorite thing about these wipes is that they are biodegradable!
Are you an eyebrow pencil, powder, liquid, or gel kind of person? Before being sent the Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics Brow Gel to try out, I only ventured into powder and pencil. Available in four shades, this smudge-proof gel has given me the most natural looking brows. Don’t have a brush to apply it? No worries. The cap of the this gel has it’s own angled brow brush. Just pull apart the top, flip it and lock it in place.
To say I’m a Josie Maran beauty fan is an understatement. Every time she comes out with a new product, I’m super anxious to try it. I actually came across the Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm when I was making a return at Sephora. I had been looking for a primer. But not just any primer, one that was actually good for my skin. I was concerned at how little product there was for this price. But, it turns out that you don’t need much product. A little gives your makeup the staying power it needs and a subtle radiant glow.
