Fundraiser I’m a St. Jude Hero

I have this best friend who loves to run marathons. She’s pretty good at it too. I always tell myself that I would love to run in one, but this bum ankle has it’s own ideas. Anyways, Mrs. Marathon Runner asked me to join her in Nashville as she ran the Rock’n’Roll marathon in April. You know, to cheer her on, support her, and of course get our Nashville on. As I looked over the event web site, I noticed that it wasn’t just any ol’ marathon. This one gave the runners the opportunity to fundraise and support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There was even an option to walk in a 5K! My first thought was…”Where do I sign up?”

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

This is why I’ve decided to walk the Rock’n’Roll 5K and fundraise for the children of St. Jude’s. And of course, I need your help! As a St. Jude Heor, I’m hoping to raise at least $500 for the cause. As little as $50 will help provide infant care supplies for 10 babies. These supplies help parents and nurses care for babies in treatment and include items like diapers, baby bottles, sippy cups, pacifiers, footies and heel warmers. Every dollar donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital counts.

Please help me reach my goal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
