Cruelty-Free Beauty | 5 Summer Favorites

Whenever I describe what I do as a blogger, I always mention that I like to review beauty products. And in no way shape or form, am I a “beauty guru.” This means I’m not a professional in the industry nor do I pretend to be one. I feel like I started pretty late in life when it comes to hoarding and spending all of my money on beauty products. Sometimes, I love what I buy and sometimes I don’t. It’s that simple. When I do love something, I make sure to share it with you guys here! That being said, here are my current cruelty-free beauty summer favorites.

ATTITUDE Hair Shampoo and Conditioner, Volume & Shine

I’m going to be honest. I had no idea ATTITUDE Hair Shampoo and Conditioner, Volume & Shine even existed. I was out shopping at Target and I saw a coupon for it. I went out on a limb and bought it. I can say, I’m glad I did. Made from “Worry Free Ingredients,” natural, cruelty-free and vegan, this shampoo and conditioner set leaves my hair soft and shiny. I don’t feel like my hair is covered in residue either. There’s no obnoxious heavy scent to worry about. It’s nice and fresh. Although it say’s volume on the bottle, it’s not mega volume and I’m OK with that. This is simply a great duo for my naturally wavy hair.

Alba Botanica, Hawaiian Sunscreen, SPF 45

After many years of relying on the wrong sunscreens, I’ve decided to get in the cruelty-free state of mind with Alba Botanica Hawaiian Sunscreen. Not only does it smell all kinds of summer amazing, but it does it’s job. It doesn’t contain Oxybenzone or Parabens. And it leaves my skin super soft. There’s not much else I can say about it, except that it’s my new go-to sunscreen. I think the pool is calling.

Real. Hair & Body Butter, Cucumber Melon

If you’re a fan of ridiculously rich and decadent hair and body butters, then you’re going to love Real. I was introduced to it recently by the founder and my skin is grateful for it. The simple ingredients in the Hair & Body Butter include shea butter, avocado butter, jojoba oil, coconut oil, and essential oils.  I can already see my dry hair, feet, and elbows drinking this up after a day out at the beach. If you decide to try them out, don’t pass up Cucumber Melon, it smells delicious!

DERMA E Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Glycolic Scrub with Vitamin C and E

I always feel like I’m on the hunt for a face scrub that won’t burn my skin or irritate it. I don’t have super sensitive skin, but I do have aging skin that tends to get a little moody on me. I was on vacation when I discovered Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Glycolic Scrub. Bonus, it was on clearance. I decided to give it a try. After using it for a few weeks, I discovered that I can exfoliate my skin three times a week, without irritating it. It contains Vitamin A, Glycolic Acid, Apricot Seed Powder, Papaya and Marine Plant Extracts. You’ll be happy to know it’s Gluten Free, paraben free, hypoallergenic and not tested on animals.

Yes To Coconut Lemongrass Liquid Hand Soap

I’m not sure if you would actually consider this a beauty product or not. I do because I care about the welfare of my hands. I really do. I was so sick and tired of hand soaps that would constantly dry them out. I blame myself for always reaching for the cheapest and most basic hand soaps. I’m so happy I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried Yes To Coconut Lemongrass Liquid Hand Soap. It’s moisturizing without being even remotely greasy and it smells perfect. That fresh coconut scent that was made for summer.
