Swimwear Review Moxi Blu

moxi-blu-curves-and-chaos As I’m writing this, it’s skorching hot here in Los Angeles. It’s the first official day of summer and all I can think about is lounging by the pool…or the beach. Whichever is closer. I chose the pool today and I decided to try out the new Moxi Blu Plus Size Swimwear line. They sent me a few styles to try out.

Before I get started, you should know that Moxi Blu is sold on Walmart.com and in select stores. You can see which stores here.

As you’ll see below, I was sent two tankini tops, two bikini tops, and two bottoms in a size 2X (18W-20W). I am currently wearing a size 16. When I opened the package, I immediately fell for the bright prints and colors—perfect for summer. I couldn’t decide between the pink/purple animal print or the vibrant geometric design. I don’t see these online yet, but I’m assuming they will be soon.

My favorite pieces were the tankini tops. They were very comfortable, but I do wish they had underwire support. Even though they didn’t, I still felt pretty good wearing them. There is a light padding in the chest area. You’ll be happy to know that the bikini tops do have underwire, but I found the cups to be on the smaller side for my size chest (my bra size is a 42D). I would say these are probably around a “C” cup size. The bottoms are on the high waisted side and are very comfy.

Whether you’re a Walmart shopper or not, you’ll love the Moxi Blu price point ($10-$26). And the quality of the swimwear seems pretty durable.  In my opinion, I would definitely recommend trying on in-store first if you can. It’s a plus size swimwear collection to check out. Especially, if you plan on living in a swimsuit all summer. Moxi-Blu-Swim-3
