Going Floral with Yona New York / Giveaway (Closed)

Remember how I keep saying I’m going to try and step out of my fashion box? That little box that I’m super comfortable in…yeah that one. Well, I’m trying guys and it all starts with wearing more dresses…and prints…and colors other than black. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with any of that, but there are just way too many fab designs out there for me to stay stuck in that box. So, I partnered with Yona New York to show off their Floral Charmeuse Drape Dress and give two lucky readers the chance to win their own!

Made in New York City, “Yona New York is for the full figured women who wants color, pattern, style and sophistication. Who wants to be able to express who she is through her clothing. Maybe for the very first time.” Don’t you just love that?

As I’ve shared with you guys many time before—I haven’t always been the biggest floral print fan. But, lately I’ve found myself wanting to wear them more often. The moment I saw this dress (available in sizes 14W-24W) in the Purple/Blue floral, I was kind of scared of the print. I can’t lie to you guys. But, I really wanted to challenge myself. Even when I opened the box, I was still worried.

But, the moment I put it on and got a little help (AKA pep talk from my friend Ivory), I was ready to rock it. I threw on a wide belt and these caged heels to make it my own. You should know that the quality of this dress, the material, and the fit is pretty great. I ordered the size 16 and it fit true to size.

I’ve realized that the Yona New York Floral Charmeuse Drape Dress can be styled tons of different ways. Maybe a long cardigan or blazer to warm it up on colder days? How would you style it? Tell me through the widget below and you’ll be entered to win this dress in the color palette of your choice. Good luck!

Wow! This dress has so much going for it, it has the perfect palette of pastels for the Spring time and just enough warm colors for the fall and maybe even into the winter! Honestly, it doesn’t need a whole lot of dressing up, BUT if I were to dress it up I’d definitely keep it simple. For a Spring look, I’d pop in some purple earrings that match the purple in the dress (since that seems to be the accent color), then I’d wear a cute black heel that has open toes with ties that go up to about mid calf. For the fall, I’d pop in some rose gold earrings with a rose gold watch, I’d take off the belt and wear a black leather jacket over the top and a closed toed black pump with laces to tie for a hint of classy meets trendy 😉 love this dress, you wear it so well!! 🙂
