The Power of Active Wear

Sponsored by Kohl’s.

Never underestimate the power of active wear. For the past six months, I’ve been dealing with this bum ankle. You know, the one I severely sprained in San Diego. Regardless, I’ve been on a health journey, complete with it’s ups and downs. But, the minute I put on my activewear, something just clicks inside of me. I know it’s time to get down to business.

Yes, there are times when I just want to hide my workout gear in the corner of my closet. And shove my sneakers under my bed. In fact, that’s what I’ve been doing for a few weeks. But after the 5K I walked this past weekend, I don’t want to sit idle anymore. It’s time to get moving again. For me, it all starts within…and with great looking and proper fitting active wear of course!

When it comes to workout gear, a plain t-shirt and old sweat pants don’t work for me. I need something that fits my body, is functional, and durable. And it has to get me in the right state or mind! Kohl’s Tek Gear is all of that and more. They have a really great selection for your indoor or outdoor workout.

What I’m wearing: Tek Gear DRY TEK Layering Scoopneck Workout Tee (1X) and Tek Gear Shapewear Jacquard Workout Leggings (1X).

OMG…these leggings. I kind of love them. They are thick and durable. But, not too thick where you’re crazy hot or anything. My favorite features are the moisture-wicking technology, the inner mesh shaping panel, and that waistband pocket. You can see them in action at the end of this post! The top is perfect for layering this fall and winter. Especially, if you love exercising outdoors. I wore mine for an indoor workout session and it was great. I love the length and cut too.

Whatever kind of health journey you’re on, wear what’s functional for you and what you’re comfortable in. This kind of gear works for me. And no matter what, I take care of myself for me and no one else. Hope you do the same!
