I know you’ve been bombarded with spring beauty products. Seriously, I feel you. When I think of transitioning out of winter into spring and even summer, I like to change things up a when it comes to my routine. In fact, there are lots of ways to refresh your beauty arsenal. Here are five beauty refreshers to consider.
Whether you follow nail color trends or not, I think changing things up a bit in the nail department just might help if you start getting board. Instead of dark shades, lighten things up with pastels, neons, or any other bright pops of color. If not consider adding a glitter top coat to any of your favorite colors for sparkle and shine. Flower Beauty Nail Lacquers are always a favorite—with shades like Thistle Or That? and their new Gold Top Coat (below).
SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
When it comes to the changing of the seasons, it only makes sense to consider swapping out your shampoo and conditioner. Not only will you have to deal with the weather, but spring days inspire us to color our hair and spend a lot more time with heated styling tools. Find an appropriate combo for your hair type. I just recently discovered the 100% vegan, sulfate-free, ammonia-free, gluten-free Mastey Color Protecting Shampoo and Daily Conditioner (below). It’s formulated with grape seed extract for longing lasting color. And Argan Oil, and Olive Oil to help protect your hair against styling heat and the environment.
I know your hand cream is probably the last thing you think about when spring hits. I know…I know. I was the same way until I switched out my heavy scented and super thick favorite out for something a little lighter and fresher. We’re still dealing with rain and cooler temperatures, so you’re going to need something that’s moisturizing. This M-61 Vitablast C Hand Cream (below), is the answer to my prayers. Formulated with Shea butter, vitamins C & E, gallic acid, and aloe—it naturally brightens, hydrates, and nourishes hands with a citrus scent.
OK, so you’ve heard about getting spring skin that glows right? Well, since we aren’t all naturally born with it, why not get a little help from your friends in the highlighter department. Normally used to highlight areas of the face where the sun would naturally hit, there are tons of products to chose from out there. I got my hands on Flower Beauty Glisten Up! Highlighter Chubby (below) in Pearl Shimmer and it gives my cheekbones a nice soft shimmer. It’s super silky and light, which makes it perfect for the season.
After all the fall and winter holidays have passed, your makeup brushes might need a little break from all of the parties and events you attended. Or they might just need to be replaced all together this spring. Especially, if they’re shedding, broken, or just won’t get clean no matter how many times you wash them. If you decide to replace them and you’re in the market for vegetarian and 100% cruelty free makeup brushes, check out The Body Shop Makeup Brush Collection. There are 13 to choose from, including the Foundation Brush, Face & Body Brush, and Slanted Brush (below). They’re so soft!
