Plus Size Activewear On The Rise

How many of you are tired of people assuming that just because we wear plus sizes, that we aren’t active? I’m sick of it. You and I both know that’s a myth that needs to be squashed right now. Not only do we workout, but we also do yoga, lift weights, go hiking, swim, do pilates, attend dance classes and more. We not only want a healthy body, but we also want stylish and funtioning plus size activewear.

LANE BRYANT

If you’re tired of the baggy old sweats and torn t-shirts, then I’m happy to report that plus size activewear is on a stylish rise. Lane Bryant has always been on it, but other plus size fashion brands have now jumped in the activewear game.

Of course, I went looking online for some favorites and I found a lot to choose from. There’s no room for excuses here when it comes improving your health and looking stylish at the same time. Just saying.

No matter what your personal style is, I really think there’s something for everyone out there. There are so many styles, colors, and options for a wide variety of activities.

What caught my eye the most were the non-conventional styles, like the cropped hoodies and asymmetrical cuts. I also loved the wide variety of prints, colors, and motivational t-shirts and tank tops. As you can see, I definitely have a few favorites.

At the end of the post, you’ll find a list of retailers and brands that offer plus size activewear.

Leave a comment below telling us who your favorites are or who I left out!

Plus Size Activewear Store List:

  • Lauren

I recently bought some items from Zella (Nordstrom) and Lane Bryant. They’re holding up well and they’re stylish. I’m thinking about purchasing a few shirts or a bathing suit for aerobics from Junonia, I also have tennis skirts from them.
I recently found Yogasmoga and Beyondyoga. They go up to 18 or 20.

  • Plus Style

AlwaysForMe.com has plus size active wear (http://www.alwaysforme.com/viallac.html). as well as plus size swimwear and separates for water workouts.

  • MilaXX

Ashley Stewart has some really cute, affordable pieces as well. Unfortunately it’s online only.
