Love, Lust, and Simply Be

A few month’s ago, I found this really fun Jonathan Adler pouch. The minute I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. I bought it and then I kind of forgot all about it. It basically got lost in the abyss that is my room. Then, as if it was meant to be, it turned up—a week before Valentine’s Day. I knew I had to take it out to play before the official day of love.

Fashion brand, Simply Be, held a blogger dinner here in Los Angeles. It’s always so much fun getting together with the girls. We had such a great time! And it doesn’t hurt running into Rihanna on the way to the bathroom. That was a very “L.A.” moment by the way!

So, wearing my signature color, I knew this pouch would add a fun touch to my casual L.A. outfit. With “Love” embroidered on one side and “Lust” on the other, I was definitely in the mood for V-Day.

What I’m wearing: Zara jacket (not available), Torrid tank top, City Chic denim (not available), Sam Edelman pumps, Jonathan Adler pouch (not available), Michael Kors watch, and Jules Smith pendant.

During the dinner, we had a chance to take a look at the SS15 Simply Be collection (in a range of sizes). It is filled with bright colors, lively prints, soft pastels, lace intimates, fun swimwear, and of course my favorite—black and white designs. Some of the pieces we tried on are already popping up on the site. But, more are on their way. Some of my favorites were a floral duster, every kimono, tropical print sheath dress, black white printed pants, and of course a LBD with a crocheted-type sleeve and back.

If you’re a Simply Be fan (or not), I think you’re really going to like this collection! Take a look at some of my pics from the night below. P.S. please excuse the photo quality. I hate taking photos at night.
