Curves and Chaos is officially 5 (insert confetti, champagne, and balloons here)! 2010 seems just like yesterday. Doesn’t it? I want to say time flies when you’re having fun, but I don’t think that phrase will work here. This Curves and Chaos journey has been so much more than “fun.” If you would’ve told me then, what I know today—I would have never believed you.
In five years of owning this blog, I have seen ups and downs on a personal level that go beyond what I could’ve envisioned for myself. If you’ve been reading since then (God bless you), you’ve definitely seen the transformation of who I am, my likes, and what inspires me. You’ve witnessed how I’ve become confidently real about my body and my struggles. Not to mention how my personal style has changed (wow!).
I’ve fallen down, got back up, and fallen back down again. And I’ve learned a lot more than I could’ve imagined along the way. I’ve been blessed with blogger buddies who are now lifelong friends. They put up with me in all of my chaotic ways. Thank you for loving me for all that I am.
We’ve seen the plus size fashion world evolve in a way that seemed unimaginable back then. All with the help of bold and confident women that will never quit. Fighting for change in an industry that is sometimes afraid of diversity. They are true icons in my eyes. Keep doing your thing!
Since 2010, I’ve learned that this space is more than just “a blog.” More than anything, I want it to be a place that offers inspiration to anyone who reads it. Whether it’s 1 person or 100 people. This is my space and it will reflect who I am and where I am in my life.
I want to thank ALL of you for being on this journey with me. Whether you’ve been reading since 2010 or you just joined us today. Thank you, as always, from the bottom of my heart.
To celebrate Curves and Chaos’ 5 year blogiversary, I enlisted the help of IGIGI and my amazing friend Jeshua (follow him Tumblr/YouTube) for a mini glam photo shoot. I’ve been lusting after the Angelica Gown in Noir Luxe since the moment I laid eyes on it. And they sent it to me! It’s so gorgeous and fits like a glove! Oh…and don’t mind the celebratory champagne. Here’s to five more years!!
P.S. As a small token of my appreciation and your dedication, you’ll find a little giveaway at the end of the post! XO
