Island Style in City Chic Resort (OOTD)
Can I just live on an island forever? Please? OK maybe just on the beach? Before I get too deep into dreams of taking naps on hammocks and enjoying slushy drinks, I’ll take the time to gush about City Chic sending me a few pieces from their Resort Collection. I mentioned I was headed to the Dominican Republic and they wanted me to live in that true island style.
In the pics below, I’m wearing the City Chic Geo Print Pant, City Chic Ibiza One Piece, and the City Chic Drapey Beach Short. They also sent me the beautiful City Chic Santorini Dress, which I love, but I had an iron mishap while I was there and couldn’t wear it. No worries, it will be worn and reviewed soon!
Just so you know, I want to wear Geo Print Pant every single day. They’re not only comfortable, but they’re perfect for the warmer weather. The materials is thin, lightweight, and I can’t get enough of the print. I’m also in love the wide elasticized waist band. I do wish I would have gone down a size, but these will do fine. I would really like to style these with a cropped top. And you can even wear them as a coverup around the pool, worn with your favorite bikini set.
Let’s talk swimwear…the Ibiza One Piece to be exact! OK before I say anything else, you should know that this is a major tummy tucker suit. It was this powernet lining that sucked me in pretty good. And the cups were very uplifting and supportive. You should know, that it may take a little muscle to get into the suit, that’s how awesome it is. And make sure the straps are adjusted comfortably. If you make them too tight, they will keep popping off. The straps can be criss crossed or you can wear the suit without them.
I spent maybe 30 minutes in the water and this suit was perfect. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to spend a lot of time laying out (boo!), but I did wear it all day with the City Chic Drapey Beach Short. Which, is also extremely comfortable and perfect for the warm weather.
Like I said above, the pants and shorts are perfect for any warmer weather. They don’t have to be worn only by a pool or on the beach. Although, that would be an added bonus. I know for a fact these pieces will be worn A LOT this spring and summer!
