Living in City Chic Body Shape Denim (OOTD)

Would you believe me if I told you that I’ve been dreaming of a pair of high-waisted denim? Well…I have. I know it’s kind of weird, but I practically live in denim. Day in and out. But, I’ve always struggled with the low rise factor. It’s so annoying. Then one day City Chic sent me a pair.

What I’m Wearing: Riley & James Plus Size Top from JC Penney, City Chic Body Shape Denim / TDF Apple Skinny Jean, Abound Flats from Nordstrom Rack, and Fossil Erin Satchel.

New from City Chic, their Body Shape Denim is all about finding the perfect denim fit for the full figured woman. I think that’s something I can live with. They’re designed with your body shape in mind—Apple, Pear, Column, and Hourglass (figure out your shape below). They come in different cuts like skinny, boot, and wide leg. You’ll also find them in regular and short lengths. I determined I was an “Apple” and they sent me a pair of the regular skinny jeans (size S/16) in black.

Short and sweet…not only do I love the fit, but I’m a hug fan of the high waist. Goodbye muffin top! The denim material is thick, has a stretch in it, and seems durable. I’ve worn them twice and they didn’t get baggy after wearing them for a few hours. Oh…and I feel like it hugged my booty just right! They were a little long for me. I’m 5’6 and I wouldn’t mind losing  one or two inches on the length of the pant. I may get them altered. But, besides that, I can see myself wearing the life out of these.

What do you think? Will you give City Chic’s Body Shape Denim / TDF a try?
