The Perfect Dress for a Wedding (OOTD)
Only those close to me know my deep dark shopping secret. OK, it’s not that dark or deep of a secret, but I don’t talk about it much. Whenever I have an event or trip to attend, I wait until a few days before to go shopping. I’m always last minute! Don’t ask me why. So, when my brother-in-law was getting married, I waited…like always. Then City Chic contacted me to see if I wanted to review something from their site.
That’s when it hit me, why not find a dress on their site to wear to the wedding? But, would I get it in time? They were all for it and promised to get me the dress in the next few days. So, I ran over to their web site and started looking. Of course I bought a back up dress…I’m so glad I didn’t have to wear that.
That’s when I found City Chic’s Rumba Off Shoulder dress, it was love at first sight. It’s the perfect dress for a wedding and all the holidays coming up! I can style it a bunch of different ways too. From the off-the-shoulder style, sweetheart neckline, and lace sleeves and overlay—this dress had all my favorites. And I loved the length. It was right above the knee, the way I like it.
I’m a US size 16/18 and I ordered their size M and it fit me perfectly. There is a little stretch in the material, so I might have been able to go down a size. But, I didn’t want to chance it. Needless to say, I was comfortable all night long dancing my butt off. Oh…and the Rumba is on sale! You’re welcome. I also found this pair of Vince Camuto’ Callea’ Pumps over at Marshall’s that went perfectly with the dress. I love a sexy pair of Mary Janes!
Thank you City Chic for getting me this dress in time. You’re a life saver!
What do you think of my wedding look?
