10 Favorites: Skulls

Halloween and Dia de los Muertos is almost here! That makes me in the mood for skulls. Totally normal if you ask me. I was looking around and found these ten favorites. Of course, these can be worn all year long and not only for these holidays. Which of these are your favorites?

A Spotlight Moment, Luminous Skin, and #MujerDove Twitter Party

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Dove and Latina Bloggers Connect.

Last week, I hit a rare moment of extreme nervousness, with zero confidence. I attended a small dinner with a very influential CEO and President of a global company. Why would I be nervous? Thanks for asking…because, I didn’t know a soul there and I didn’t know what to expect. Turned out it was an amazing, inspiring, and a definite spotlight moment!

Beauty Buzz: 15 Black Eyeshadows

Halloween is almost here!! I’m soooooo not ready. I’m too busy here…blogging about beauty products. Of course, I do it because I love you. Duh! And since the web is currently obsessed with all things October 31st, so am I. All I want to do is wear black eyeshadow….which I only save for special occasions.

Let’s Get Red Carpet Ready! (closed)

This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with Unilever and Latina Bloggers Connect.

Whenever I think of the red carpet, the glitz and glamour is the first thing that comes to mind. I never think about the time or cost it used to take me to prepare my head to toe look. Today, I’ve got it down to a science—I’m really quick about it. And I know that I don’t actually have to step down this coveted carpet to be considered “red carpet ready.”

Day at the Ranch (OOTD)

I love days that are all about comfort. Yesterday was one of those days. I had a last minute change of plans and headed out of the city for a day with my hubby and our family. We were headed to “the ranch” for the day and I just wanted to relax with my loved ones. You know I had to make sure my outfit was comfortable.

Clinique Supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

My heart is always a little heavy this time of the year with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I lost a beautiful person to this horrible disease and I miss her every day. I know I’m not the only one who has been affected—we are all connected in some way. That’s why it’s so important to help support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, founded by Evelyn H. Lauder.

A Lovely Reminder…

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life (so far), it’s that if you don’t stop worrying about what others think about you, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Yes, a disservice. You should know that life is meant to be lived. Who cares what others think about you? Do not let others define who you are.

Beauty Buzz: H20+ Bath and Body

We have to be very careful when it comes to what we put on our skin. Believe me, when I tell you that I know not all skin is created equally. I really love trying new products, but not everything works for me. Then there are times when I get sent something to review, and my skin instantly falls head over heels. And that’s exactly how my skin felt when I tried a few products from the H20+ Bath and Body line.
