My Style, My Way (OOTD)
I love how my style is changing. I wear whatever I love and what I want, without feeling the pressure of following trends. I think that’s how it should be for everyone. Fashion should never be about wearing what others think you should. That’s why I love and appreciate my daring and creative fashionista friend Ivory (check out her blog here). She makes no excuses. She loves it, she wears it. And that’s what true style is about.
Ivory has taught me a lot, like always trying things on, regardless of what the size on the label says. And that’s exactly what I did with this kimono top from Urban Outfitters. The tag say’s a size “M” but, it runs big. I found it when I was in New York for FFFWeek. It was the last one left in this amazing print and I snagged it. This is a perfect example of never knowing if something will fit unless you try it on…thanks Ivory!
This look was for a dinner date with a good friend. For some reason, my skinny jeans don’t look so skinny. LOL! I think it’s the flash from the camera. Oh well, I love this look! I was comfortable and I love the pop of color this jacket brings to my outfit. I can’t even imagine all the different ways I can wear this!
What I’m wearing: Silence + Noise Silky Banded Kimono Jacket (similar here) purchased at Urban Outfitters, Lucky Brand Ginger Skinny (gifted), HM tank (old), Abound flats purchased at Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21 necklace (old), House of Harlow ring (gifted), and assorted bracelets.
