“Perfect” Weekend with City Chic and Sonsi (OOTD)

There’s that moment, when you put on an article of clothing and it just feels like it was made for you. It’s one of those “perfect fit” experiences. What’s even better is when you don’t think it will look good on you, then when you’re wearing it all of that just goes away. Sonsi, your “go to” online plus size fashion shop, sent me a few items from their (awesome) City Chic boutique and it was all I needed to make my weekend.

I hope you don’t think I’m joking…I wish you could try any of these two dresses on by the Australian retailer. Below I’m wearing the (sold out) City Chic Mirror Print Zip Dress and City Chic Neon Trim Tunic (which was long enough for me to wear as a dress). I’m a US size 16, so I’m wearing their size S. Both fit me amazingly perfect…especially in the chest area. So, please make sure you take your measurements and follow the size chart accordingly.

LOOK #1: City Chic Mirror Print Zip Dress

Sigh…this dress is really something. I zipped myself into this and I just felt like my curves were thankful! It’s fully lined and the quality is great.  I like that the print carries to the back and that cut out!! I kept my jewelry and makeup simple, I wanted the dress to speak for itself. I know this dress is sold out, but check out their other styles, that are on sale right now…just saying.

Look #2: City Chic Neon Trim Tunic

When I chose this tunic, I had no idea it would be long enough to wear as a dress. I’m 5’6 and it hit perfectly at my knees. Off course, it can still be worn as one with leggings or even opaque tights. I haven’t worn a lot of neon, so this was perfect. I love how electric, yet simple the trim is. There are pockets (yay!) and the bottom half is not fitted. And once again, the cutouts are a standout! You can find it here…on sale!  Oh…you should know, there’s no stretch in this tunic.

    Thank you so much!!

  • You look awesome in both looks but I’m siding with the cutout dress solely for the neon outlining. So cute.

Meanwhile, I, too, participated in launching the City Chic line. Was beyond geeked.
