Beauty Buzz: Clinique’s A Different Nail Enamel
This product was provided for review purposes only. Any and all opinions expressed are honest and my own.
Something is up with my skin lately. Over the past few weeks, I’ve had tiny allergic reactions break out on my face here and there. I think I might be touching my face way too often. Am I now a person with sensitive skin? You can imagine how interested I was when I found out that Clinique developed a nail enamel for those with sensitive skin—”A Different Nail Enamel.“
Clinique discovered that a person touches their eyes on average 200 times a day. And with all the things our hands come in contact with, that’s an entire world of irritants. That’s probably my problem! They also determined that nail enamel can cause irritation and even contact dermatitis on the thin skin around the eye.
According to Clinique, nail enamel is considered a significant allergen source for periorbital dermatitis—a facial rash that develops around the lower and upper eyelids. People who suffer from these conditions often-times do not realize the connection between touching and rubbing the eye area, and fresh manicures. Yikes!
“A Different Nail Enamel” for sensitive skins took six years to create! Three in research and three in product development. It’s Dermatologist tested, Ophthalmologist tested and appropriate for sensitive skins and sensitive eyes.
You’ll find 12 shades in their permanent collection and 9 limited edition shades for their summer 2013 collection. My favorite shades for summer are 70 and Sunny and Splish Splash in the limited edition collection. Get them before they’re gone!I can tell you the colors I tried below went on pretty thick with just one coat, but I did have to put on a second. I can’t comment on the wear, because I only tried them on one finger for this post. But, according to Clinique, if worn with the A Different Nail Enamel Base and Top Coat for Sensitive Skins, it should be chip resistant for seven days of wear. Check out my pics below!
You can find the nail enamel at Clinique counters nationwide and online at www.clinique.com.
