Say Goodbye to #ALLERGYFACE with these Beauty Tips!

This post is part of a sponsored campaign on behalf of Latina Bloggers Connect and the makers of ZYRTEC®

Do you suffer from #ALLERGYFACE? I do! Ugh! I found out something new about myself this spring. I’m now a victim of Hay fever, also known as allergic rhinitis.  I thought I caught three sinus colds this spring. Nope…good ol’ Hay fever caused by pollen and other fun allergens in the air.

Well, it only makes sense being that it’s spring and the warmer weather triggers those seasonal allergies. And not only did it affect a few of my blogger events because I felt horrible, but it also took a toll on how I looked. The redness from sneezing and blowing my nose a million times was disgusting.

The makers of ZYRTEC® totally know what I’m talking about, because they coined the term “ALLERGY FACE™.” They even partnered with my friend Carmen Ordoñez (beauty/fashion expert) from VivaFashionBlog.com, to help us women combat this #ALLERGYFACE –the beauty challenges like a puffy face, watery eyes and a red nose that are associated with typical allergy symptoms.

Read my beauty tips to battle ALLERGY FACE™ below.

Here are my beauty tips to combat #ALLERGYFACE:

  • Pre-Allergies: Keep tissue with lotion on-hand and ready to go. This will help cut down on that awful soreness, skin irritation, and cracking you get from blowing your nose all of the time.
  • Peeling/Cracked Skin Around Nose: This can be so annoying. Try keeping the area moisturized with petroleum jelly, aloe vera, or unscented thick lotions.
  • Itchy/Watery Eyes: If you insist on wearing eye makeup during this time, I suggest wearing waterproof mascara and eyeliner.
  • Dark Circles Under Eyes: I recommend using an eye brightening concealer under your eyes to battle the darkness. Hahaha…seriously though…it works!
  • Redness: Try using retouching or color correcting products. This will help diminish any redness. And after applying your makeup, make sure to use a finishing powder. This will set your makeup and help it last longer.
