What’s your favorite thing about being a makeup artist?
My favorite thing about being a Makeup Artist is definitely making a living on what I’m most passionate about, you can’t beat that!
I’ve traveled to the most beautiful places in the world and worked with amazing talent on and off screen. The most rewarding part is to be able to instantly change a woman’s perspective on how she looks at herself.
I love the fact that I can help to instill confidence in women and especially now as Neutrogena’s first Hispanic Beauty Ambassador to be able to communicate a message of health and beauty to Latinas.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspirations through movies, museums, different cultures and nature. I’m a huge fan of portraits and drawings, you can learn a lot about the face structure by painting and drawing portraits.
What’s your favorite beauty tip or skin care advice?
My favorite beauty tip is “less is more”. Keep your makeup fresh, natural and youthful!
My skin care advice is plain and simple, Wear Sunscreen at all times Rain or Shine! Also, follow a simple skin care routine that incorporates Cleansing and Moisturization. Your skin is your canvas and the time you invest in caring for it will determine how much makeup you will need to use.
The products you select for your daily beauty regimen have a big impact on your skin’s health and overall appearance. Brands like Neutrogena® offer a complete range of products, including cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreens and cosmetics for a natural and flawless look while providing important skincare benefits.
What is your beauty weakness?
Manis & Pedis.
What advice would you give to any aspiring makeup artists?
The best advice I can give to any aspiring makeup artist is to be Professional.
Your Artistry and reputation come hand in hand, being a professional Makeup Artist is not a trend, it is a career. Always have your Makeup kit spotless and well organized. If you are lucky to have a chance to be an assistant to a well – established Makeup Artist become a sponge and learn everything you can.
