I’ve Been Illustrated! #KurvesIllustrated

Is that title even grammatically correct? Anyways…the past two weeks have been beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined as a blogger. I am so amazingly blessed. I wanted to say thank you to all of you who take the time to read my little blog and support me. Those that leave comments, help share my posts, and keep up with me on Facebook are wonderful! I don’t know how many times I can say it, but it means the world to me.

Just a few days ago a short profile of me was featured in the April issue of Latina Magazine. I’ve been reading this magazine since it was published. I still can’t believe it. I think I need someone to pinch me! Then today, I got a tweet from Karyn Johnson of the blog Killer Kurves directing me to a blog post titled #KurvesIllustrated. In the post Karyn and Illustrator Kyra Kendall were inspired to create a collection of illustrations featuring plus size fashion bloggers and editors.

Come winter we had an epiphany (again over a bottle of wine) that in this day and age, plus size women are not only overlooked in the fashion world, but in the art world as well. There was a a day when the curvy girl reined supreme in the art world but today she is hard to be found; especially when it comes to fashion illustration. These ideas inspired the creation of #kurvesillustrated, a collection of illustrations featuring beautiful curvy women. -KillerKurves.com

I just knew I had to share this with you all! I am honored to be one of the women featured in this post. I’ve always wanted an illustration of myself, but never knew where to look or who to ask. Kyra is so talented! I think she did an amazing job drawing me in my IGIGI dress. I’m so flattered! Everyone looks stunning in their illustrations!

Head over to Killer Kurves now and enter to win your own custom fashion illustration by Kyra.

Thank you ladies from the bottom of my blogger heart. You are amazing and I can’t wait to see more from #KurvesIllustrated! XOXO
