Beauty Buzz: AERIN Garden Color Collection Spring 2013

Once upon a time there was a beauty mogul by the name of Estee Lauder. She created a beauty empire. Today, her granddaughter Aerin is not only the Style and Image Director for the company, but she’s also the founder of her own lifestyle brand appropriately named AERIN. Oh and I’m kind of jealous of her awesomeness.

And I’m crushing just a little bit over the AERIN Garden Color Collection for spring. I will admit up front that I have not had a chance to wear these products all day, but I did try them on. I just wanted to introduce you to these limited edition products before it was too late. Below you’ll see the following pieces from the collection.

Multi Color for Lips & Cheeks in Freesia, Lip Gloss in Cassis, Kabuki Brush, Spring Style Palette in A Garden in Bloom and A Garden at Dusk.

Who wouldn’t love a 2-in-1 product like Multi Color for Lips & Cheeks? In a quick swipe you have lips and cheeks done. This is scent free and glides on easily. It’s nice, fresh, and leaves a natural pink glow. The Lip Gloss in Cassis is also light and smells like roses, but it’s not overwhelming. You know I’m not a big fan of strong floral scents. I was fooled by the color in the tube though, it’s a sheer pink not as bright as you’d think. It’s not very sticky and gives your lips that dewy look.

The two palettes below Spring Style Palette in A Garden in Bloom and A Garden at Dusk (bottom) are perfect for spring.  These one blush and three eyeshadow shades are soft and sheer. They are in no way heavy and won’t weigh down your look. The A Garden at Dusk is a little bolder, but still lightweight. And these both have the same rose scent as the gloss.

You’ll find these palettes in a signature AERIN floral pattern zip-around compact. I imagine this collection for the woman-on-the-go who wants that fresh-faced look for spring day or night. I can’t wait to wear it out!

“When I think of Spring, I immediately think of flowers. I’ve created a collection that is bright and pretty, mixing floral patterns with a vibrant, pink palette.” – Aerin Lauder, Founder and Creative Director, AERIN
