Polka Dot Casual

Imagine walking outside and feeling like you just walked into an oven. Yeah, that was pretty much my weekend in San Antonio. O.K…I may be exaggerating a tiny bit. Let’s just say it was hot and I didn’t want to fuss with my outfits. And that’s why I kept my look casual, but wanted to add some much needed color in my life.

The Polka Dot Pocket Tank ($10.80) from Forever 21 made an appearance with my Rockstar Pop-Color Jeans ($32.50) in Monaco Plum from Old Navy. And my Steve Madden Achilees Sandals ($49.98) aren’t getting any time off. I wore them all weekend!

I can’t wait to wear these jeans this fall with a chunky knit sweater! They’re the perfect pair of pants for all seasons.

I have no words – this outfit is too cool! Polka dots and brightly colored skinny jeans make such a fun combination. I love that you didn’t sacrifice style to be comfortable. And you are correct – Texas is like an oven right now! I live in Austin and it’s pretty much exactly the same. Great outfit girl!

I was just looking at those jeans on the Old Navy website – how do you find the fit? I see lots of complaints on the site about the fit being small (as in 1-2 sizes small) and the legs being too short for tall women – I’m 5’9″ with a 32″ inseam.

I actually had to go up a size to an 18. And to clarify, these aren’t the “Women’s Plus” sizes. Maybe the fit would be better? Not sure. I’m also 5’6 with a 32″ inseam. They were a little low in the belly area, which was a teeny bit annoying. I hope this helps.
