I cringe as I write this post. It’s 84 degrees in Los Angeles and just the thought of wearing one of these is making me sweat. But, it is officially fall now and I see the faux, leather, and pleather jackets hitting the racks. Do you have yours yet? Maybe one of these will make it into your closet!
It’s outfit time again and I’m sharing what I wore on my last night in Las Vegas. And I think I’ve found my new favorite pair of pants! That’s pretty exciting for me, because I don’t normally get excited about denim. Torrid’s new Ankle Zip Stiletto Jean in black is all I’ve been wearing lately. There’s something about a super skinny ankle length pant that I love.
This shoe lover has a little bit of a problem. As I’m getting older, it seems my feet can’t handle high heels anymore. I realized this on my last trip to Las Vegas. After two long days of walking around in the heat, the minute a heel was placed on my foot, I was ready to take them off. Like right then and there. We hadn’t even left the hotel room yet! LOL!
Tom Pecheux you are a genius. Estee Lauder’s new fall 2012 Pure Color collections are to…die…for! In case you’re wondering, Tom is the Creative Makeup Director for Estee Lauder and he created them. The colors are so amazingly brilliant, intense, and deep. It’s like they were made for me. They are the perfect fall colors, with some that could even transition into other seasons.
Las Vegas is one hot city…like really hot. And when I know I’m traveling to a city with warmer weather, I always make sure to pack a maxi dress. They’re easy to pack and easy to dress up and down. Very versatile. And thanks to Torrid, I was able to take this Blue and White Mitered Striped Maxi ($54.50) dress with me to Sin City.
Fashion and technology? In today’s world, these two work together in harmony. I know fashion bloggers wouldn’t exist without them. And if you’re a fan of Project Runway, then you know these two are lifesavers in crucial design moments. Those talented designers rely on their HP tablets and computers.
Take a deep breath…New York Fashion Week is finally over. I didn’t have the time, money, or energy to make it out there. But, I did keep up via one of my fave fashion sites Style.com. And although plus sizes were not represented on the runway, that doesn’t mean we can’t take inspiration from them…right?
There’s nothing like a curvy and confident woman trying to make it big in this world. And nuvoTV knows that. They had the right idea to bring back Curvy Girls! They teased us last season (which you can watch here) and are finally doing it right! Tomorrow, September 18th at 9 p.m., our favorite ladies are back!
I’ve been doing a lot of traveling lately…like a lot. In fact, I’m planning to go out of town this week. September has been a busy one, and October doesn’t look to be any different. In fact, I’ll be traveling to Houston next month for the Latinos in Social Media National Conference(LATISM 2012)! I can’t wait!
