Raise your hand if you’re a Lucky Brand fan! Me! Me! Back in my non-plus size days, I adored this retailer! Today, I can’t really wear it. Well…that is until NOW! As of today, ‘Ginger’, the company’s first venture into plus size denim will be available at major retailers nationwide!
“We are proud to introduce the best of Lucky Brand to the plus size denim market with the launch of
Ginger. This collection is very much in keeping with Lucky Brand’s pursuit of encouraging our customers to celebrate their shape,” said Nico Peyrache, VP of Denim Design at Lucky Brand.
According to the brand’s press release: “Ginger is a mid-rise top-block jean that is offered in three leg openings – skinny, straight and boot cut. The jean features a contoured waist to fit one’s curves and is created with super stretch fabric with great recovery to maintain shape. To compliment the Ginger, Lucky has also created a complete head-to-toe plus size fashion collection comprised of product taken from the brand’s favorite and most iconic styles from the core brand offering with fit adjustments for a more flattering silhouette.”
The Lucky Brand fall collection is priced at $99-$129 for denim, $49.50-$79.50 for knits/tees, $79.50-$99 for wovens, and $99-$119 for sweaters. And the collection will initially launch across 118 doors, comprised of major retailers including Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com, Macy’s and Macys.com, Von Maur, Lord & Taylor and Belk. For Holiday 2012, the collection will expand to specialty stores and LuckyBrand.com.
