Curvy Girl Travels: Hotel Lucia
There are a million and one places I want to travel to. Because of a recent blog job, I was able to mark Portland, Oregon off my list. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to see the city, but I did spend some time at my hotel, Hotel Lucia.
Located in Downtown Portland, Hotel Lucia is a stylish boutique-ish hotel. I loved the character of this place. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant located off the lobby, Restobar. Prices are decent. I ate the BLT with fries for $12. It was pretty yummy.
I was put up in a Deluxe Double Double room. The room was spacious and I appreciated the “green” touches; like recyclable bins and housekeeping options. If you’re wondering the bed is pretty comfy/roomy and so are the pillows. The second my head hit them, I was out!
LOVED…how soft the towels were! OMG…probably the softest I’ve ever used at a hotel and water pressure/temperature was good. And I really liked the Aveda bath products and full-length mirror.
UMMM…there weren’t many outlets. I had to unplug my clock so I could charge my cell phone. And the street noise is very noticeable, although they do provide ear plugs on the night stand.
$$$…the last week of August a Deluxe Queen room ranges from $169-209 a night. They do offer specials.
Not that it was bad, but I’m not sure I’d stay here again. I did love the location, but I’d probably check out another hotel in the area.
Take a look at some pics I took below.
