Shoe Insider: Earthies’ The Veria Too
When was the last time you wore a shoe that actually cared about your health? Yeah, I’m with you. I didn’t think they were out there either. That was until I was sent a pair of Earthies.
Created more than 40 years ago by a Danish Yoga instructor, Earthies were one of the first to give consumers “a true whole-body wellness experience-footwear with a slight sole incline that re-positioned the wearer’s body more naturally over their frame.”
“Delivering on the promise of “Wellness. Elevated “, every Earthies® style features a unique wellness footbed. A cupped heel sets the foot into the proper supported position. An anatomic arch increases touch points along the transition from the heel to forefoot. And, a cradle toe area evenly distributes weight away from the toes.” -Earthbrands.com
I decided on The Veria Too ($149) wedge. I will say I was pleasantly surprised with the design of this shoe. I thought it would be one of those that looked chic online and they when you got them they disappointed. Not here. I loved these from the moment I pulled them out of the box. These are made with comfort in mind, but if your foot has a flat arch you should be warned. The high arch of the shoe did bother me a little bit, it’s the only thing that did. I admit I didn’t wear them long enough to tell you how they perform over time. But my heel and toes were really comfortable. The upper part of the shoe is made of suede and the heel height is 2.56″.
