Style Trend: Bright Blazers

You know it’s all about bright colors this spring! And now blazers are definitely getting in on the action. I know we always complain that we can’t find blazers in our sizes, but I think I might have you covered. I found a few below that are not only in amazingly bold colors, but they come in a range of plus sizes and prices. And they aren’t that traditional blazer style either. Check out the cropped style from Jessica London or this beautiful wrapped style from Ashley Stewart. Throw it over a spring dress or with a pair of your hottest skinny jeans with a tank underneath. Instant hot outfit!

OOTD: Pink Leopard

I’m really not trying to brag…OK maybe just a little, but the weather here in Los Angeles was amazing this weekend! Saturday morning, I had some errands to run, but I didn’t want to just throw on anything. I wanted to wear something fun but comfy. I decided on this Pink Leopard Callie Off-Shoulder Tee by Twist Tees and these Light Blue Rolled Cuff Straight Jeans, both courtesy of Torrid.

I love this top! When I saw it, I knew I had to try it. It really is a twist on the popular leopard print. And I felt a little sexy with the whole shoulder showing. Grrr…The jeans fit like a glove…literally and I liked that. I always have a problem with jeans fitting me correctly. I’ve figured out I need to stick to a straight cut, they just fit better. I love the cuff, it’s like they’re a capri, but they’re not. Oh…and I kept my styling pretty simple. My shoes are an old pair from Charlotte Russe…I think. My mom bought them. Don’t mind my hair by the way, it’s getting way to long for my liking thus causing major bad hair days. Oh well…my weekend was amazing anyways!

What did you wear this weekend?

Beauty Buzz: Neutrogena Naturals

I think Neutrogena has every type of product for almost every type of skin. I should know, I’ve tried a lot of it. Yes, a lot of it.

I wish I would of known about their Neutrogena Naturals line when I was going through my “green” phase. It’s free of harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes or phthalates. They use ingredients that are naturally derived.

The Neutrogena Naturals collection consists of cleansers, scrubs, make-up removers, lip balm, body bar, moisturizer, and night cream. I’ve been using a few of these products and have found them to be pretty effective. And you know how I am about fragrances, these have such a clean almost yummy scent. Does that make sense? LOL!

If you’ve been looking for a natural line, I’d definitely recommend trying one of their products to see if you like it or not. And to get you started a few of their products are on sale right now via their web site. Go here.

Have you used this line? What do you think?

Shoe Fever: The Chunky Heel

I will scream it from the mountain tops…I LOVE A CHUNKY HEEL!! When I wear a shoe with a thick heel, I feel so much safer than if I wore a stiletto. LOL! I feel more grounded and of course more comfortable. You all know I’m totally in love with my Steve Madden platforms. I wear them all of the time. But, now I’m starting to thing I need a fe more pairs. I do…right? Especially since it’s spring and I need brighter colors and styles in my life. Just agree with me at this point. Read more

OOTD: 365Hangers Style-A-Thon

The day of the 365Hangers Style-A-Thon crept up on me. It was like one day they asked me to be a part of it and the next day it was here. I had already planned an outfit out in my head a week in advance, but then I was notified that the weather was going to be kinda cruddy. Yes, we do get cruddy weather here in Los Angeles. So, the outfit I had planned was out the window. Thank goodness Torrid had sent me a few pieces the day before! Phew!

I wore this beautiful Teal Chiffon with Embroidered Trim Kimono and Tripp NYC Black Skinny Pant both from Torrid. I paired it with my favorite Steve Madden platforms, a tank from H&M, and a necklace from Forever 21. I will tell you the skinny jeans are a little low on the waist, not my favorite, but they were fine. And I couldn’t help but feel nice and bright because of the color of my top. I can’t wait to figure out what other ways I can wear it!

Styling at 365Hangers Style-A-Thon

If you know me, then you know I’m kind of a worrier. I tend to stress myself out over little things…sometimes. When I was asked to be one of the bloggers to style a few models for a spring themed runway show at the Style-A-Thon, I immediately said Yes! Then I sat back and thought about it…what am I doing? Why did I agree to this? I’ve never done anything like this before, so of course I felt out of my league.

Yesterday, I styled two models and I realized I made a lot out of nothing. That’s me! LOL! Ugh…I don’t know why I do this to myself. Thank goodness for amazing friends. They are so amazingly supportive and helpful. And a big THANK YOU to Robin and Shalon for walking in the show for me. Shalon wore a beautiful DKNYC wrap dress and Robin rocked a Jessica Simpson floral dress (both available at And they both worked that runway! It was a lot of fun.

The event was held at Space 1520 in Los Angeles on a drizzly morning, but thank goodness the sun came out! There was music and shopping. Belina, Dama Handbags, Nicolita, and Mr. Kate were on hand. We had snacks from PopChips, drinks from Dry Soda Co., and candy from The Candy Chef! And don’t get me started on my amazing gift bag. Lots of goodies from Argo Tea, Dama Handbags, NCLA, Pure Ice, Chipkos, The Candy Chef, and Mr. Kate. Thank you to the entire team…especially Sasha and Ferial. xoxo

Here are some pics I took…had a little fun when editing them. LOL! Hope you like!

My AMAZINGLY beautiful models, Shalon and Robin.

Disclosure: I did receive a complimentary gift bag at this event.
