Check me out on Plus Model Radio Tomorrow!

Hi my loves! I just wanted to pop in really quick on this Sunday and let you know that I will be on Plus Model Radio tomorrow! My good friend Chenese will do a quick interview with me. I’m really excited and kind of nervous, even though I’ve been on once before. So, forgive me now if I mess up. LOL! Kim McCarter of Project Curve Appeal NYC, Model Sommer Green, and Stephanie Penn the Editor of Daily Venus Diva will also be on. Visit www.plusmodelradio.com for more information. Hope you listen in! xoxo

OOTD: Lounging with Nation LTD #2

I’ve been to a few professional basketball games and with each one, I’m always worried and wondering what I should wear. I want to be comfy, but I don’t want to look “blah!” Ya know? Last week, I was invited to a game and I knew this Nation LTD Long Knit Wrap would be perfect. But, it was a little too casual looking for me. So, I threw this scarf on. You can see how it shimmers, although it looks better in person. I had booties on, but changed into my boots at the last second. I did not want…

Trends: The “Hi & Lo” of Things

The “Hi-Lo” or “High-Low” dress is kind of my latest obsession. With it’s high hem in the front and low hem in the back (hence the name), it’s really an eye-catching style. As you can see, they come in all kinds of colors and prints. You may eve find a skirt here or there. This really is a “love em’ or hate’em” kind of dress. So, what do you think? Love it or Hate it? 1. Dorothy Perkins 2. Lane Bryant 3. Forever 21 4. American Rag 5. Torrid 6. Dorothy Perkins 7. Saks Fifth Avenue 8. Nordstrom 9. Fashion…

OOTD: Lounging with Nation LTD

Once upon a time…there was a girl who wished she could dress comfy, but attempt to be chic at the same time. Was it possible? At that time the famous brands who made the ideal basics didn’t make her size. That made her very unhappy. Little did she know, as time went on, those brands would start to get it. We want to look “comfortably chic” too! Then one day it happened…she came across Nation LTD by Jen Menchaca. The next thing she knew…she was in love with not only their fit, but the softness of their material. If you…

Beauty Buzz: COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation

I love being able to “Kill two birds with one stone,” as the saying goes. And in the world of beauty, there’s no better way to do that, then to combine two of your favorite products. But, sometimes it doesn’t always work out. For example, I don’t think those shampoo and conditioner combos work for me. I can never tell the difference. Is that just me? LOL! There’s a brand new cosmetic combo that’s caught my attention. COVERGIRL’s foundation and Olay’s hydrating serum have combined to give us Tone Rehab 2-in1 Foundation. Not only will it help cover fine lines and…

OOTD: A Crocheted Kind of Way

Let me start off by saying that I chose Torrid’s White Crochet Fringe Poncho (on sale now), because it’s not something that I would normally wear. Remember that whole “trying to more adventurous” New Year’s resolution? I thought it was cute and very boho chic. And I thought I’d try it. Even when I put it on I was still unsure. You ladies know how that is right? But, I kept it on and I’m glad I did. It was a nice Spring outfit. I’m not happy with the angle of the photo, it doesn’t show the true length of the…

JIBRI Spring 2012

Hey my loves…not sure if you’ve seen this yet, but here’s JIBRI’s Spring 2012 Collection. I will admit, I don’t own any of Jasmine’s designs, but my friend Ivory does and she LOVES the line. I’m actually eyeing that first skirt! So gorgeous! Her pieces don’t usually last very long, so if you see something you like…get on it! Check out the line here. Update: I am now the proud owner of this skirt (below) LOL!

The Shopping Diaries: The Last Minute Shopping Continues…

There once was a time when I would plan ahead. It didn’t matter what it was. I actually despised waiting until the last minute to accomplish something, especially shopping. Today, I’m no longer that girl. I’m now that “I’ll wait until last minute to find what I need” shopper and I don’t like it. There’s nothing worse than feeling rushed or forced to buy clothing or shoes. I don’t know why I do it to myself. Maybe I think I’ll make quicker decisions? And because I’ve been so indecisive lately when it comes to fashion, this may make sense. I’m…

Torrid’s Retro State of Mind

Torrid and I have been friends for a while now and I’ve noticed the trends come and go. One thing I’ve always loved about them is how they’ve always embraced the retro style. And all of the pieces above are perfect examples of that. I’m especially loving the dresses! Brands like Stop Staring and Queen of Heartz make chic pieces! Even the swimsuits are getting in on the action. Do you own any of their retro designs? Are you a retro kind of girl?

Beauty Buzz: Estee Lauder’s Mad Men Collection

Where are my Mad Men fans? It’s all about the glamorous 1960’s and the sexy Christina Hendricks. Already headed into it’s fifth season, this AMC’s series has inspired a brand new and limited edition Estee Lauder Mad Men Collection. You’ll find an amazing red lipstick named Cherry and a pink rouge named Evening Rose. Even the outer carton was inspired by Estee Lauder packaging from the 1960’s. I grabbed my new camera and snapped a few photos for you. I love how classic this is. So, what do you think? Will you pick up this new collection? Please note: All…

One Dress…3 Looks

I am in love with this ASOS Curve maxi dress. Isn’t the color amazing? Perfect for spring. If I owned this dress, this is probably how’d I’d style it. Three different looks, yet all very casual. That’s me…a casual kind of girl. From a chunky bracelet, clutch, and sandals-these are all pieces that can be found very easily. Most you probably already have them. How would you style this maxi? Beauty Buzz: Estee Lauder’s Teal Topaz

I’m so sorry to do this to you, but I have to share Estee Lauder’s Teal Topaz nail lacquer with you. I say I’m sorry because it’s sold out online and it’s a limited edition color…sooooooo…not sure if you’ll be able to find it again. This is probably one of the prettiest colors to ever touch my nails. When applying it, it goes on amazingly smooth and is a true color. When I wore it, I got so many compliments on it. I felt super lucky to have gotten my hands on it…no pun intended. This color is part of…
