My Spring Checklist

Today is the first day of spring! Woohoo! OK, my loves, I don’t know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods, but it’s beautiful here in Los Angeles. I hope it’s like that wherever you are. Fingers crossed. I wanted to come in and give you my two cents on a few things we should have to be ready for these beautiful spring days. It’s by no means mandatory, LOL! You probably already have most of these pieces anyways. Are you ready? Let’s get started…from the tips of your fingers to the bottom of your feet.…

I’ve been in a dress kind of mood lately. Growing up, I haaaaated wearing dresses.Even a few years ago, you wouldn’t see me in anything that showed my legs. I don’t know what was wrong with me, seriously. Today, I loooove dresses and I really love eShakti. I have a dress from them and it’s so divine. It really is. If you hadn’t had a chance to check them out, you really should. eShakti is not only a fabulous fashion web site, but the allow you to customize your dress. OOTD: Lounging with Nation LTD #2

I’ve been to a few professional basketball games and with each one, I’m always worried and wondering what I should wear. I want to be comfy, but I don’t want to look “blah!” Ya know? Last week, I was invited to a game and I knew this Nation LTD Long Knit Wrap would be perfect. But, it was a little too casual looking for me. So, I threw this scarf on. You can see how it shimmers, although it looks better in person. I had booties on, but changed into my boots at the last second. I did not want…

Trends: The “Hi & Lo” of Things

The “Hi-Lo” or “High-Low” dress is kind of my latest obsession. With it’s high hem in the front and low hem in the back (hence the name), it’s really an eye-catching style. As you can see, they come in all kinds of colors and prints. You may eve find a skirt here or there. This really is a “love em’ or hate’em” kind of dress. So, what do you think? Love it or Hate it? 1. Dorothy Perkins 2. Lane Bryant 3. Forever 21 4. American Rag 5. Torrid 6. Dorothy Perkins 7. Saks Fifth Avenue 8. Nordstrom 9. Fashion…

OOTD: Lounging with Nation LTD

Once upon a time…there was a girl who wished she could dress comfy, but attempt to be chic at the same time. Was it possible? At that time the famous brands who made the ideal basics didn’t make her size. That made her very unhappy. Little did she know, as time went on, those brands would start to get it. We want to look “comfortably chic” too! Then one day it happened…she came across Nation LTD by Jen Menchaca. The next thing she knew…she was in love with not only their fit, but the softness of their material. If you…

Beauty Buzz: COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation

I love being able to “Kill two birds with one stone,” as the saying goes. And in the world of beauty, there’s no better way to do that, then to combine two of your favorite products. But, sometimes it doesn’t always work out. For example, I don’t think those shampoo and conditioner combos work for me. I can never tell the difference. Is that just me? LOL! There’s a brand new cosmetic combo that’s caught my attention. COVERGIRL’s foundation and Olay’s hydrating serum have combined to give us Tone Rehab 2-in1 Foundation. Not only will it help cover fine lines and…

OOTD: A Crocheted Kind of Way

Let me start off by saying that I chose Torrid’s White Crochet Fringe Poncho (on sale now), because it’s not something that I would normally wear. Remember that whole “trying to more adventurous” New Year’s resolution? I thought it was cute and very boho chic. And I thought I’d try it. Even when I put it on I was still unsure. You ladies know how that is right? But, I kept it on and I’m glad I did. It was a nice Spring outfit. I’m not happy with the angle of the photo, it doesn’t show the true length of the…

JIBRI Spring 2012

Hey my loves…not sure if you’ve seen this yet, but here’s JIBRI’s Spring 2012 Collection. I will admit, I don’t own any of Jasmine’s designs, but my friend Ivory does and she LOVES the line. I’m actually eyeing that first skirt! So gorgeous! Her pieces don’t usually last very long, so if you see something you like…get on it! Check out the line here. Update: I am now the proud owner of this skirt (below) LOL!

The Shopping Diaries: The Last Minute Shopping Continues…

There once was a time when I would plan ahead. It didn’t matter what it was. I actually despised waiting until the last minute to accomplish something, especially shopping. Today, I’m no longer that girl. I’m now that “I’ll wait until last minute to find what I need” shopper and I don’t like it. There’s nothing worse than feeling rushed or forced to buy clothing or shoes. I don’t know why I do it to myself. Maybe I think I’ll make quicker decisions? And because I’ve been so indecisive lately when it comes to fashion, this may make sense. I’m…
