Comfy & Warm Knits

It’s official my loves! Today is the first day of winter. Well…it’s almost 70 degrees here in L.A., so I’m not really experiencing a chilly winter day. I swear I’m not bragging! I love the cold weather and I wish I could trade you, that way I can wear these warm and comfy knits. These also come in handy if you’re traveling this holiday season. OK…I’m ready to house swap with someone who has snow outside their door right now! Just My Size evansusa.com Dorothy Perkins Ashley Stewart Alloy.com Shop Alloy’s extended sizes and inseams up to 37 inches.

The Shopping Diaries: Shopping Discrimination Continues…

Update: On 12/22/11 I spoke with the manager on duty at this Macy’s location. I explained my experience. He was very kind, understanding, and sincerely apologized. We chatted a bit about it and he said he would definitely speak with the associate. I hope he does and she learns from the incident. There’s no room for size/shopping discrimination. I’ll let my $$$ speak for me from here on out. I’ve worked many years in the retail world. I know what great customer service is and I can spot crappy customer service from a mile away. As a sales associate, I…

Get “Dress”ed with Ashley Stewart

Hey ladies! When was the last time you took a second to shop for dresses at Ashley Stewart? I was just in there the other day and if I wasn’t in such a big hurry I definitely would’ve tried some of them on. I already own their navy blue 10-way dress, but I’m secretly coveting this red one below. I’m a sucker for a red dress. This is a reminder to wear this color more often. It’s such an eye catcher. Some of the dresses below are “web exclusives” and are on sale. Take a second to shop what’s new & hot…

Torrid and my Sequin Obsession

Will the obsession ever end? Really? Yes, more sequins and lots of sparkle. I wore this outfit for my dad’s 60th birthday party and I felt sassy. LOL! I did! Torrid’s Black Mesh Sequin Front Tank Top immediately caught my eye and I had to have it. The front is sheer, but adorned with sequins and beading. I love this top! I will admit this is my second time wearing it. I wore it to the Jay-Z and Kanye concert. I’m also wearing Torrid’s Boom Boom Jeans. These stretch trousers are an internet exclusive. They’re comfy and have a little…

‘All I want for Christmas’ is Rachel Roy Jewelry

Surprise, Surprise…I still haven’t done any Christmas shopping. I’m going to be hating myself in a few days. But, for now, I will continue to think about what I need to add to my gift list. Like, this jewelry from the Rachel Roy line. I’ve written about her before and I will admit some of the designs are “hit or a miss.” The pieces below are a definite hit in my book. I can see myself wearing all of it (hint hint). Are you a Rachel Roy fan?

ASOS Curve and The Collar

As a child, I was enrolled in an elementary school with a strict dress code. Girls could only wear skirts and dresses (no shorter than your knees of course) with collars or a collared shirt. I did this from kindergarten until the 5th grade. So, when I noticed ASOS Curve’s love for collars, I immediately had flashbacks. LOL…OK it’s not that bad. I did notice their mini-obsession with the collar. Which you can find embellished, Peter Pan style, scalloped, and even color blocked. I’m curious…are you a collar fan?

Shoe Fever: On a Sequin Kick

You all know my love for things that sparkle, hence the love for sequins. Well, I just bought my first pair of sequin pumps from Baker’s. And I love them!! They are so sparkly and I know I’m going to get a lot of wear out of them. Especially during this time of the year! Sooooo…now I’m on some kind of sequin kick. If you love sequins too, then you’re probably going to love some of the pairs I picked out below.
