My Rachel Pally “White Label” Favorites

Oh Rachel Pally…you just don’t know what you’re doing to me. I’m sitting here waiting until I hear those magic words “Sample Sale.” Then I can head over and grab one of you creations below from your White Label. You’re warehouse is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. I love living in L.A. If you don’t know, the Rachel Pally’s White Label is made exclusively for sizes 1X, 2X, and 3X. But, beware these sizes “can” be a little generous. I think that’s because her designs are meant to be chic and comfy at the same time. Imagine that…looking fab…

Cocktail Ring Bling

There’s nothing like a stunning cocktail ring to brighten your day…and your outfit. With the holidays around the corner, it’s time to start looking for that statement piece of jewelry. Here’s a little bling inspiration. The cocktail ring, also known as a dinner ring, is meant to stand out . Just look at the beauties I found below. They’re stunning…especially the vintage-inspired ones.  Finding one is easy, almost every jewelry store or department has them. And they really do vary in price. I’m going to start looking for a few to grace my fingers. They’ll be great for those holiday…

Shoe Fever: The Lace-Up Boot

As I sit here trying to recover from this dumb cold, I’m wishing I was at a cool Halloween
party instead. So, what does a bored blogger do on a Saturday night? Surf the internet of course. And I just realized I need a new pair of shoes. I haven’t bought any in a while and I think I’m due.

Win a Pink Ashley Stewart Clutch & Jewelry

October is almost over and this is our last “pink” Breast Cancer Awareness month giveaway. I can’t believe how fast the month flew by. Let’s not forget all of those who have been affected by this horrible disease and honor them by taking care of ourselves. Get examined by a doctor, be conscious of any changes in your body, and stay healthy! Remember, breast cancer awareness is year round.

The Updated Fanny Pack

Inspired by an obviously cool guy in line at Disney World, I think fanny packs are way underrated. Bear with me for a second… I mean…if you love having pockets, then you should love having everything you need at arms reach, right at the waist, and without having to add that uneeded stress to your shoulders. Right? Are you agreeing with me yet? But…the term fanny packs is soooooo 1980’s. How about we just call them what they’re referred to now…”belt bags.” I’ve seen a few people wear them, but it’s not really a full on trend..yet? I really like this…

Must See Video: VICE.com Fashion Week Internationale

Thanks to Plus Model Magazine for the heads up on these two videos. Vice.com (from the UK), covered Full Figured Fashion Week for their series “Fashion Week Internationale.” I’d really love to know what you think after watching both videos. I will tell you, it was honor to attend Full Figured Fashion Week and wouldn’t of had my experience any other way. I had an amazing time and loved being surrounded by women who love fashion as much as I do. Here’s a link to the videos…. After watching the videos, I’m reminded how ignorant some people really are. Like…

Standing Out with Plus Size Fix

Are you the kind of lady that likes to make a fashion statement? You know…someone that stands out in a crowd? I know a few brave ones. I unfortunately am not that brave. I’m usually the one who has wishes she had the the guts to step outside of my comfort zone, when it comes to fashion. If you read my blog, then you know I’ve said this many times before. For example, last week I was browsing around the Plus Size Fix web site and found a few daring pieces. I instantly thought to myself…”Cute, but I could never…

City Chic’s Latest Blogger Lookbook

City Chic’s 2nd Blogger Lookbook is finally here. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a second to click on over and check it out. It features 12 bloggers wearing pieces from the Australian retailer. I’m wearing the Lava Zip Back Top and Leatherette Biker Jacket. The top is on sale now, so go and grab it. I get tons of compliments on it. Great colors! I love the jacket too, but it’s been a little too warm here in L.A. to wear it as often as I’d like. I know I’m going to get a lot of wear out…

Curvy Girls on T.V.

This last year in the “plus-size” fashion world has been crazy. We’ve been getting the most coverage I’ve ever seen. Even so, mainstream America still has no idea about what this world is like. Yes, there was the cable mini-series Big Sexy on TLC. It definitely caused a stir. But that’s it…or is it? Tonight, Curvy Girls premiered on NuvoTV. The new show features models Denise Bidot, Lorna Litz, Rosie Mercado, and Victoria Castillo. Curvy Girls provides an all-access pass inside the glamorous world of professional modeling by shining the spotlight on four working plus-size Latina models whose passion and pride fuel their…
