Beauty Buzz: The Turbie Twist

Have you ever watched one of those “As Seen on TV” commercials (a.k.a. infomercials) and thought…Why didn’t I think of that? That’s exactly how I felt when I saw the Turbie Twist commercial for the first time. And when I finally got my hands on one, it was confirmed…I should of invented this! I’ve been throwing my wet hair up in towels since I can remember. And when you’re hair is soaking wet, it takes for ever to dry and you have a heavy towel on your head. My hair is long too! Not with the Turbie Twist. I don’t want…

The Black Beaded Necklace

I love when I spot a new jewelry trend. Especially if it’s one that can be worn by anyone and everyone. I first spotted this beautiful black beaded Kate Spade New York ‘cut to the chase’ bib statement necklace last month. I found a few other necklaces below that I’d love to own, they range in price from $7.80-$650. Not only could these be worn in the fall, but also into the winter with your favorite holiday dress. How would you wear a black beaded necklace?

My L’Oreal Paris Beauty Suite Visit

Don’t tell anyone, but I think I’m a closet beauty junkie. I can’t get enough! I was so excited when L’Oreal Paris invited me to visit their beauty suite at the Emmy’s Luxury Lounge! It was held inside the beautiful Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills, on Saturday. Whenever I get invited to an event I honestly don’t know what to expect. For example, I almost bumped into Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cameron Tucker, when I exited the elevator. I also spotted Jerry Ferrara who plays Turtle on Entourage. He’s too cute! I made my way to the…

L.A. Fashion Scene: La Maison de Fashion

On a very hot L.A. afternoon, I made my way to a hidden fashion gem on Melrose Ave, La Maison de Fashion. OK, it might not be hidden to the many fashion stylists of Los Angeles, but it was for me. La Maison de Fashion is style house and boutique.  The space may be small, but the fabulousness of it is overwhelming. I wanted to touch everything. LOL. I really did. But, I didn’t. One thing about La Maison de Fashion you should know is they house various sizes, styles, and designers. And you can shop online here. I was there to…

Plus Model Magazine Blogger Conference Pics

I am missing NYC soooo much right now. The Plus Model Magazine blogger conference was so much fun. There’s just something about being around a group of women who love fashion as much as you do. Nevermind the fact that we all love and appreciate our curves. Everyone looked so beautiful and the confidence was beaming from that room. Once again, a BIG thank you to Plus Model Magazine and Just As You Are for inviting me. Erica Watson was hilarious, as always, and the models were beautiful. Unfortunately, my batteries and back-up batteries died. I didn’t get any photos…

NYFW is Red Hot!!

Red has been one of my favorite colors since I was a kid. And every time I saw a red piece from a designer at New York Fashion Week, I made a mental note. I knew I had to write a post about it. The color red evokes passion and a fiery attitude. What else does it need to say? It’s fashion! There’s a reason I love this color so much. And you will definitely see why below. I don’t think I can even pick one of my favorites! I’m leaning towards the Christian Siriano pieces. Which designer are you…
