Style Trend: The Kimono
The Kimono, a traditional Japanese garment, has always inspired fashion trends. Kimono actually means “a thing put on.” And derives from ki “wear” and mono “thing.” Just a little fashion lesson for ya.
It’s normally a long length robe, with wide sleeves and wide sash at the waist. And it was a definite inspiration for these pieces I found below at Style369.com, Evans.co.uk, and DorothyPerkins.com.
They feature the the wide sleeves and some even have a sash as the waist. It’s definitely not your traditional Kimono, it’s just a trend inspired by it. I’m dying over the Dorothy Perkin’s Orange kimono dress!
