Review: Skindura’s SecretShield

All right, let’s just get it out in the open. I’m going to come out and admit that my thighs do get chafed during the summer months. Whew! I feel a lot better now. And I know that most of you have issues with chafing (a.k.a. chub rub) as well. It’s normal, there’s no need to be embarrassed. Instead, why not find a solution, right?

We’ve all tried the products on the market. Raise your hand if you’ve used deodorant, powder, Vaseline, biker shorts, and even the stuff runners use to stop the chafing. It’s kind of like this endless cycle isn’t it. One thing doesn’t work and we just move on to the next.

I have good news for you, your search may have just ended. I was recently sent Skindura’s SecretShield to review. And instead of throwing on some shorts under my dress, I grabbed this instead.

Now, I will be honest and tell you that I was hesitant at first. It claims it’s “100% veggie derived formula creates a breathable barrier on skin.  Waterproof and sweatproof yet it allows your skin to perspire.  Stands up to hot, dry, humid, and cold conditions.  Won’t evaporate, like products made from  mineral oil, lanolin, water, or alcohol.  Fragrance free, no artificial colors, and non staining.  Silky formula glides on and stays put.“

I was going to an outdoor event where I would be doing a lot of walking. I put this on the inner part of my thighs and headed out. It was correct when it say’s it allows your skin to perspire, because I did. I was so worried I would sweat it off.

After 4 hours of wearing it there was no chafing. None at all. Yay!! It didn’t leave behind any stains or residue either. And I’m so happy it didn’t irritate my skin. It is fragrance free, which I really appreciate. The price is very reasonable. For only $10, you get a 1oz. balm, which seems like it would last a few months.  Check out their Etsy page for more products and especially for their awesome SecretShield.
