Rings Take Shape

I am now just realizing that I need more rings in my life. After wearing the big sparkly one I bought at Aldo Accessories I know I need more! Call it a budding obsession with statement rings. But, everyone should have at least one statement ring. If you don’t, then you have no idea what your outfit is missing. In fact, while doing a little bit of ring browsing online, I came across a few rings that caught my eye. Rings that need to be on my fingers soon! They were in various simple, yet bulky stunning shapes and angles. Most are…

What I’d Wear to the Oscar’s

If you’re like most fashionista’s, then you can’t wait for tonight’s red carpet arrivals at the award show of the season, The Academy Awards. Also known as “The Oscar’s,” this is the king of all red carpets. The only celeb I’m looking forward to is Christina Hendricks. I love how she rocks her curves! But, besides that, I always look forward to what the trend will be on the red carpet. If I was going, I’d die to represent in this Alexander McQueen Kimono Gown, but with the $8,655 price tag, it seems very unrealistic. That and it doesn’t come in…

Black, White & Leopard All Over

I’m all about being inspired today. In fact, the immediate second I saw these delicious Leo Platform heels from Alloy ($46.99), I knew I had to write this post.Leopard is always in style, but I say we venture out of our fashion comfort boxes and go a different route with black and white leopard print. Now, if you’re already in possession of black and white leopard print, yay! for you. But, I’m not and I think these would jump start my collection.Ok, I don’t know about a collection, but grabbing a few pieces here and there can really add some “oomph” to…

My Feet Hurt!

I have feet issues. When I say feet issues…what I really mean is…I have feet in high heel issues. Finding a comfortable heel that is also on trend is still really hard to do. That’s why I get stuck with feet that hurt. While I was in Las Vegas last weekend, I did a lot of walking. So much, that when it was time for evening events I was dreading putting on my shoes for the night. Who’s with me?I can’t be the only shoe lover out there that suffers for the sake of beautiful shoes!Every single night in Las Vegas,…

What I Wore: Lane Bryant Runway Finale

Thanks to Madison Plus for using this photo of me in their “The Curvy Revolution Fan Looks” post on their blog The Dish. When I saw it, I realized I didn’t have a clear pic of my outfit from the runway finale night. You can’t tell, but I struggled with my hair that night, so I just bunched it up as a side bun. Wasn’t sure if I liked it, but the style is growing on me. My earrings and ring are from Aldo Accessories (buy one get one 50% off). The dress w/embellished belt is from Forever 21+, of course it’s…

KleanSpa Blending Bash

A few weeks ago, I wrote a Beauty Buzz feature and hosted a giveaway for KleanSpa. Here’s the original post. In case you were wondering KleanSpa products can be found in salons and stores throughout the nation. If you love creating your own scents and live in the Los Angeles area, then I would recommend attending their monthly Blending Bash. At the Bash, you will personally work with Jennifer (the owner) to create your own signature fragrance.I attended one last month and it was so much fun! I went with Nik and Denise at the Burbank location which is inside an amazing boutique called…

The Lane Bryant “Revolution”

Where do I even start? First of all, I want to thank Lane Bryant for the VIP pass to The Curvy Revolution. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have had such an amazing experience. On the final day of the convention, I finally ran into NettaP, one of my favorite bloggers. Love that girl! Then after getting lost, I attended a Lane Bryant panel session with the VP of Marketing, Jay Dunn. It was a very informative look into the world of Lane Bryant. Mr. Dunn made sure to remind us that it’s not about age, but about your attitude.…

The Curvy Revolution: Day 2

Day 2 of The Curvy Revolution was all about meeting the vendors at the Expo. I know there are so many amazing products and brands out there for the curvy woman.I even had the opportunity to get a free bra fitting by Lane Bryant. I found out I’ve been wearing the wrong bra size! What? No wonder I’ve always been uncomfortable wearing under wire bras. Now, I know my correct size and my “girls” will be a lot happier. Maybe I’ll even buy the new Sateen Convertible Plunge Bra. Go get your free fitting today!!Here’s what I wore:Sweater: TJ MaxxTunic: Abrstract…
