The Skinny Jean Revolution

You thought it was just a fad.

You were told curvy girls couldn’t wear them.

You tried them on and uncertainty set in.

Now, every where you turn you see them. On the street and in the mirror, it doesn’t look like skinny jeans are going anywhere. Different from a “jegging” the skinny jean has made it into the hearts of fashionistas everywhere.You can call them cigarette pants, pencil pants, skinny pants or skinnies.

Originating in the 1950′s, they made a comeback in the 80′s, and now men are even wearing them?

I will admit, I was a skeptic at first. I tried on a pair at Torrid and I wasn’t sold on them. In fact, I kind of cringed as I looked in the mirror. But, today I own a few pairs and I love them. Skinny jeans go great with a flowy top or chunky knit sweater and a pair of my favorite boots.

This curve flaunting style has made it beyond it’s 15 minutes, but are you embracing it? Do you long for boot leg, wide leg, and flare cut jeans?
