I love my body. I really do! But, I know I’m not healthy. I have high cholesterol and I haven’t worked out in months. If I could be in top physical health and have my curves, then I’d love myself even more.
But, the reality is, when I start my exercise routine this coming week, I will probably lose weight and my curves will start to go bye bye like Jennifer Hudson (right). And to be honest, that kind of scares me.
Hudson was on Oprah the other day and she revealed she’s lost 80lbs. She’s gone from a size 16 to a size 6 using Weight Watchers and exercising. I understand her motivation to be healthy. She’s said time and time again, that she wants to add years to her life and be there for her child. I think it’s amazing that she’s doing it the healthy way.
As a curvy woman with a blog, I often hear and read other women state that they are proud of their curves and they love their bodies. Yes, I know there are healthy curvy women out there, but there are also unhealthy curvy women like me out there.
So, I started thinking…
Do we really love our curves? If you could wake up one day and have the “motivation,” money, personal chef, or whatever to start a weight loss program would you? Or would you stay just the way you are? I’d love to know what you think. Take a second to answer my poll below.
