I think J.Hud looks waisted! Gabby Monique, thanks for talking about this. This is something I struggle with…I love my curves, but want to be healthy…but I don't want it to seem like I only care about being skinny or anything like that. It's a fine line! Kemi I exercise and want to lose weight because I love my body, period. I will grow to love it however it looks like at each stage because ultimately, I am happy/thankful that I can walk, run, leap.. and when I talk to people just 5-10 years older then me that are my same size talking about the body aches from carrying their weight catching up to them it helps put it into perspective for me. I'd rather be less curvy, then 35-40 with knee, back and hip pain and also trying to lose weight. I'm not going to lie, yes when losing weight and i notice that my curves are going away, specifically my cleavage and booty it would make me sad but i wouldn't stop. Bethamint I wouldn't pick any of those options, I would say that I would love to get fitter but I don't really care if it results in me losing weight or not. I've just started a new fitness regime because I've realized that my legs aren't as strong as they used to be (when I was living in Wales and walking my dog over hills every day) so I want to get the strength back in my legs, but I don't really care how much I weigh so long as I'm fit and healthy. And I'm working on the fit part! Sarah R I would love to lose weight because I have hypertension and type 2 diabetes. I have three kids; dying young is not on my to-do list. Yet, I know the fear; being curvy is part of my persona. According to my physician, I need to lose about 120-130 lbs; I'm thinking I'd like to lose closer to about 70-80. And I wouldn't mind a personal chef although I do enjoy cooking. I just don't have time to cook the way I should. When I eat right, my blood sugar balances out and I drop weight. Thankfully, I graduate school in April and I intend to get myself back on track. Curvy Debbie I love your blog! To be honest, I found that Jenifer Hudson was very beautiful when she was curvy! I think she is to skinny now, but that's right we can be curvy and healthy without doing sport and have a good food behaviour!I want to lose weight to be healthier thant now, My breath is not good, my knees hurt me.. Im gonna follow your blog! I luv it man! http://curvy-debbie.blogspot.com/ Cid Style File One thing I noticed since I started blogging about plus size fashion, is that people automatically think your also a fat acceptance blog. Not true, although I do think plus size woman can be stylish and fashionable, at some point we need to consider our health. I am not gonna lie, I would love to lose some weight and be smaller. I don't want to be skinny and a size 2. I never talk about it on the blog because I don't want anyone to take it negatively. Above all my goal is to be healthy, no matter what size I am. I don't have any health problems at my current size, but I know as I get older things can change. I want to have babies soon, so losing weight and getting healthier will only benefit me. I know if I lose weight my curves won't disappear completely,(done it before) but will look better. I have tried WW before and know it works and lost weight in a healthy manner. I have considered doing it again. I fully support you on wanting to get healthy. No matter what any one says you have to do what is best for your healthy & lifestyle! <3 IrresistibleIcing.com I want to lose more weight to get closer to my goal. I'm not afraid of losing my curves. I've lost almost 50 lbs now and they haven't gone anywhere! I like being curvy but in shape/toned. I think it's beautiful! Pearmama I was a perfectly healthy and active plus size girl about 50 lbs. ago. I am still healthy but way less active now. My cholesterol is a little high but my blood pressure is fine. I'd like to lose weight so I can gain more energy and my knees and ankles don't bother me. And I think J Hudson looks smoked out that skinny. UGH Loulou Exercise to be healthy, don't worry about losing weight, not losing weight, etc. You body knows exactly what shape it wants to be… personal knowledge says that even starvation won't rid you of your boobs, bum and thighs. If you want to be healthy, then eat well and work out. WeightWatchers, though? That crap isn't healthy. It's a one way ticket to Crazyville. At least, it was for me. Slippery slope. Jennifer aka. Jasifer Whatever makes you happy girl, I think you should go for it, and reach your healthy goal. I bet you'll still keep your curves. it's in you. like it's in me, I will never be stick think if I'd loose a lot of weight, I want to loose some too. but it's hard…Im comfortable, but….I feel you, the health thing. it's so hard…I wish I had the energy and motivation for it. Elizabeth a.k.a Liz It took me a while to accept my weight. I was pretty depressed because I was told that having curves looked disgusting. Even then…I let it get me down and I didn't do anything about it. The thought of being "fat" torchered me. I dressed ugly because I was expected to and I let myself go into a deeper hole of depression. Nobody would care anyway. One day I woke up and realized that it didn't matter how much I weighed. I could still look good! When I started feeling better about myself…and dressing better…its then when I wanted to start taking care of myself and taking care of my health. Being curvy and loving your curves to me is about feeling good about yourself first. Once you feel good about yourself, you're ready to take care of your health whether you're curvy or not. Your blog and other plus size blogs are encouraging to me. They show me that you can still be beautiful even when you're curvy, being healthy, and losing weight. Monique Thank you for your honesty and support ladies! I really do appreciate it.
