Yes, you can shop at Charlotte Russe

Most curvy gals can’t shop at the affordable mall favorite Charlotte Russe. They don’t make clothes for us. In fact, every time I walk in there I always head right over to the accessories. Here are a few necklaces, handbags, and shoes that would make my spring shopping list in an instant! And everything featured in this post is $40 and under.

Would any of these pieces make your shopping list?

thats not really true, Ive bought tops from Charlotte Russe you just need to know what to look for, e.g. something that is supposed to slouchy and big loose fitting can fit a plus size girl comfortably. I think big girls should at least try to shop at places they feel like shopping at instead of taking the walk of shame to the shoes and accessories area, but to stay on subject they do have an excellent selection of jewelery and great deals on shoes and handbags :)

I agree with Jazmine… that's not true at all! in fact, i did a post about making it work at charlotte russe last year (http://jillybeanstalk.blogspot.com/2010/04/charlotte-russe.html). they don't have plus size prices but a lot of their items come in XL and most are loose fitting or elastic waist, so a curvy girl can definitely make it work. i have several shirts from them, and i'm a size 18/20! so… give them a chance :)

p.s. their shoes and accessories are amazing though. i think all my rings, earrings and most necklaces are from there.

this made me LOL because I always walk by this shop and make snarky faces at the window because they tease me with a cute little fashion world that I am forboden from. But the accessories are darling. I love the retro box style purses.

Thanks for the reminder. I always want to check out the jewelry at Forever21 but I feel so weird walking into that store b/c I feel like everyone is thinking "Does she really think there is anything in here that fits her?"

lol Every time i go in there with all my skinny friends….i just kinda roam…and end up with the accessories :) and the same goes with other similar stores.

But i do agree with the 1 st comment…you gotta shop around, the bigger slouchy stuff in XL can fit…i.e., cardigan sweaters :)

I do agree there are a lot baggier styles nowadays, but I'm beyond the XL size in stores like this. My chest is too big. Lol.

I was there last year and one of the sales assistant told me that they were planning on taking their sizes out of juniors and go into larger sizes. I was really excited about this, but it was a while ago and it never happened. Its really too bad, even if they went up to just a 2x so many people would be so happy. Oh well maybe one day they will learn, a girl can hope.

I'm a size 16 or 18 in jeans, I wear a C38 bra, and I shop at Charlotte Russe. I actually think they're a lot better than some stores. Their XLs are generally true to size but they do have "baggy" shirts so just look around. I do wish that stores for teens would realize we're not all stick thin. I don't really like most of their shoes and purses, but they do have cute jewelry.

I hate Charlotte Russe. There isn’t shit for me to wear because they dont have my size. SMH…

No, I can’t shop at Charlotte Russe. Handbags, shoes and accessories are NOT cute outfits. Their extra large size is small as hell. I couldn’t even get a dress to come up past my hips. Charlotte Russe is NOT for fat women. Period.
