Curvy Girl Travels: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
There’s always a sense of naughtiness when you go to Las Vegas. Maybe it’s the money, the bright lights, the trendy clubs, or the swanky hotels?
Yes, the swanky hotels are now bringing the naughtiness to you! As the first of my new feature “Curvy Girl Travels,” I’d love to introduce you to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Opened since December 2010, this hotel offers you a “different kind of Las Vegas experience.” With 2,995 rooms, you’ll be in awe the moment you walk into the lobby. From the multi-faceted monitor columns at the front desk to the stylish and sleek elevators, you instantly feel V.I.P.
I was in Las Vegas for business and was put up in the Terrace One Bedroom. The design was not only chic and trendy, but very inviting. I know a lot of people will say, “I only need a hotel room to sleep in.” Then maybe this hotel isn’t for you. You will definitely do more than sleep in this 610 sq. ft. hotel room. I’m just sayin’…there was a window from the bedroom that looked into the spacious shower.
For me, it’s all about the details, like the 2 flat screen televisions that allow you to do it all. Like adjusting the climate, lights, and music to set “the” mood. Or maybe it was the luxurious and relaxing bubble bath I took in the Japanese soaking tub overlooking my private terrace, free wireless internet, or sleeping past noon in the comfy king size bed. And don’t get me started on their amazing customer service. Whether the staff was walking past you, answering a simple phone call, or tending to your room for turnover service, they were all very friendly and helpful.
Like I said earlier, you’re not going to want to leave this glam hotel. Let’s just way I was there for two days and didn’t leave once. I ate at their amazing resturaunts like China Poblano, Estiatorio Milos, Holsteins, and STK and was never once disappointed. Even room service was delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to visit Marquee Nightclub (grrrrr), but I will definitely be there on my next visit.
There was only one issue for me and that was the water temperature in the shower. I love a nice hot shower and I was greeted with only warm water. I figured it was due to their conservation efforts the hotel is taking, which makes it OK in my book.
Now for the important question.
Will this curvy girl stay here again? YES! I will admit the rooms are a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. So, come to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for your dose of naughtiness, swankiness, or whatever you’re lacking in life. It’s what Las Vegas was missing.
