NYFW Day 2 Recap

Jason Wu and Ports 1961 stole my heart on day 2 of New York’s Fashion Week. I am in love with these Spring 2011 collections. I didn’t want to bombard you with photos, so I only choose a few. The day was filled with feminine touches, flowing fabric, and abstract prints and cuts. Not bad day 2, let’s see what day 3 brings. Oh, btw…I can totally see most of these pieces on this curvy silhouette! Which collection is your favorite so far? Kitten Heel Comeback

Are you a shoe lover who’s not loving the heel height of your favorite pair of shoes? (Raises Hand) If so, you’re definitely going to love this latest shoe trend, the classic kitten heel. It’s time to bring it down a notch. The kitten heel was introduced in the 1950’s with a heel height of no more than 2 inches. Some, brands like these Anne Taylor pumps below are 2 1/2 inches high. I remember when I wouldn’t wear anything higher than 2 inches! I’ve dared to go to 3 inches, my feet miss the kitten heels. Looks like it’s time…

New York Fashion Week Day 1 Recap

Day 1 of New York Fashion week has come and gone. I saw a lot of mixing of prints, clean lines, military inspired looks, romantic pieces and bare midriffs? Really? Bare midriffs? Oh well. Here are a “few” of the Spring 2011 pieces I liked. I’m not a professionally paid fashion critic but, I really had to look hard for these! Hopefully, day 2 will be more inspiring.Jen KaoBensoniRuffianVena CavaChristian Sirianoimages:

Fall Trends 2010: Chunky Knits

The overcast weather here in L.A. really has me thinking about fall more than ever. So, I couldn’t help but post this trend. The chunky knit is not only a trend for fall/winter of 2010 but, it is always a trend every year. Who doesn’t like to look fabulous while keeping warm? For me it’s a given! I love cable knit sweaters!! I actually have two in my closet from last season, I can’t wait to wear. I am also on the hunt for a chunky knit beret. Will fall just hurry up and get here already!Dorothy Perkins Grey Cable…

Faux Fur? Yes or No?

Do you wear faux/fake fur? Faux fur is made from synthetic materials and not our furry friends. I’ve never worn the real stuff and I think I have one puffy vest with a faux fur trimmed hood. But that’s it. Even Chanel has gotten in on the faux fur trend for fall/winter. I’ve kind of had my eye on boots with the faux fur trim, but that’s still debatable because it doesn’t get that cold in L.A. What do you think? Are you a faux fur kind of girl?

OOTD: Getting Grecian

I hope you’re enjoying your Labor Day weekend! I know I am. I had an amazing Saturday. We hung out with family and friends. I finally wore this gorgeous ASOS CURVE Draped Grecian Slinky Top (out of stock). I don’t know why I waited so long to wear it. It may just be my new favorite ASOS piece. It draped beautifully and I got a ton of compliments on it all night. You know I love that. LOL.Of course I wore my favorite Lane Bryant Knit Denim Jeggings ($59.50) and my super awesome Mossimo wedges from Target that were a…

OOTD: Torrid Review III

When it comes to stripes, I’m not the world’s biggest fan. I think I might own two pieces of clothing with a striped design. So, when Torrid sent me this dress, I wasn’t sure I would like it. Once, again I really need to stop being so fatshion judgemental. Today, I wore the Navy Striped Belted 2-Fer Dress ($58.00) courtesy of Torrid, and I will no longer disapprove of stripes again. When you first touch this dress, you can’t help but love the material; it is very soft. The navy and heather gray go so well together. These are two separate…

Jewelery Takes Shape

I couldn’t help but notice the recent trend of geometric shaped jewelry. It’s a style anyone can wear and it could liven up the most toned down outfit, if you’d let it. I love the clean lines and simplicity of it all. Personally, I’d really like the Marc By Marc Jacobs bracelets. Just sayin’.What do you think? Would you wear any of these pieces?
