Blogger Q&A: Gabi

GabiHungry for FashionSouthern California, USAWho is your favorite fashion designer and why? I’ve always been in awe of the fabulous Coco Chanel. She was the first to say FUCK what men what women to wear! She went for designs that were comfortable and classic. She was against the norm and stood up for real women out there. It’s incredible that her designs can be worn to this day. I believe plus, real, curvy (what ever you want to call us) women are at the point in time were we are standing up and saying screw what the industry thinks we…

Summer Trends: The Maxi Dress

This summer trend will not only have you looking chic, but it will keep you comfy! I love that combo, don’t you? With its floor touching length, the maxi dress was made for me…and you. It’s so versatile too. You can dress it down with a pair of flip flops or dress it up a bit with a cute wedge or heel. If you wear it into the evening you can throw on your favorite cardigan or Pashmina wrap. Oh…if you were wondering I’m loving #9!My golden rule: If the dress has a vibrant print, make sure to keep your…

Easter Weekend

I spent this past Easter weekend in Arizona with my family and let me tell you it was an exhausting one! It was a last minute trip, but it was nice to get out of town for a minute. I got back late last night and I am sooooooo happy to be back home. L.A. has my heart for sure!I wore this outfit for Easter Sunday (with a black cardigan for church). Later, I switched out the heels for white gladiator sandals. It was a pretty comfy outfit, especially the pants. I love the buttons. I was battling with my…

Wish List: Maurices

Being on a budget is not working for me! Look at what I found at Maurices! Darn e-window shopping! I’m definitely in the mood for coral and denim. Especially, the cutoff shorts. Which I can probably do at home…hmmm…lightbulb! This budgeting is inspiring DIY projects. I guess that’s a good thing. Right? On the Border Look 3Aztec Inspired Embroidered TankVigoss ? The $30,000 Jimmy Choo “Blythe” handbag!!!!Yes, you read that right. Well, according to JustJared.com, it is. And they’re pretty reliable.I know she’s a millionaire and I know she can buy whatever crocodile handbag her little heart desires. But, seriously? What the…? I am sitting here trying to convince myself that maybe it was given to her as a gift. But, after doing some research, I found out these handbags were a…

No Shopping?

Soooooo…the hubby told me last week that we need to start budgeting. You know what that means, right? No more shopping.Yeah right! That just means super duper bargain shopping and thrifting!! Or I can wear the clothes I have in my closet. Either way, I am always up for a challenge! I will not let my shopping spirit be crushed! I will not be defeated! I promise.P.S. I’m not going to let the looming L.A. rain discourage me from dreaming of warmer days ahead.Yes, I love the rain, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate a clear warm day every-now-and-then!Those are the days I love to throw on a tank top with a pair of jeans or a skirt.Today’s tanks come from Delias. I know they are geared toward non-curvy teens…BUT…these come up to a 2X!Loving this one (left)…it’s called firecracker!
