My favorite fashion designer is Phillip Lim. I’ll be honest in that I don’t really follow designers all that much (mostly because I don’t have the budget to buy their clothes), but I do flip through various fashion magazines each month, and every time I like a piece and I look in the sidebar to see who it’s made by, it’s Phillip Lim. I think he just has a great mixture of amazing cuts, classic styles, sleekness and a little big of edge.
I can not live without shoes! I’m like the sister in “In My Sister’s Shoes” that buys shoes and doesn’t wear them a lot, but keeps them in her closet “just in case.” Well, I have that problem.
Good question.. I never thought about creating a beauty product, mostly because I can find whatever I want out there pretty much. I guess sometimes though, I can’t find the exact nail color I’m looking for, so it would be interesting to design colors for a nail polish company and develop a polish that tries SUPER fast!
light weight, cotton knee length cami dress, with a pair of simple sandals or flats, a cardigan or light weight linen jacket (for if it gets cold), and a pair of sunglasses for Seneca Lake near Watkins, Glen NY.
Don’t be afraid to try something new and different. It’s always great to have a distinct style, but I find the most fun in trying something new for a day. Fashion is a great way to express yourself because sometimes you feel like a little bit country, and sometimes you feel a little bit rock n’ roll. Fashion is the easiest way to try on a new you!
Hmmm…I like the idea of leather shorts…but it doesn’t seem very practical when you live in L.A. where the temperature can reach into the 100′s during the summer. But, then I think, they look kinda cute. (FYI…these are by Juicy Couture and they are available up to a size 14). Then my mind starts thinking about the “what if’s?” What if they stick to my legs when it’s hot…or they make me sweat? Am I thinking too much into this?
Keep yourself cool this summer with a chic white dress. The thing I love the most about this trend is you can definitely mix it up! It’s as easy as adding a colorful accessory, a short sleeved cardigan, flip flops, or whatever you want! Or simply just wear it by itself. It’s a no-brainer. Don’t you just love easy fashion?
My golden rule: Don’t mix up different shades of white, keep it simple.

Remember that lingerie survey, you curvy ladies so graciously filled out for me a couple of months ago? (Thanks btw) It was for the lingerie line
Dear Dolce Vita,
I love your shoes. Although, I’ve never owned a pair, I fall in love every time I see a pair and try them on. I just want you to know that if I ever come across a couple of hundred dollars, I will buy these three pairs above. They would probably make my feet melt, because they are so HOT!
Thank you. Read more

It may be incredibly mainstream, but I absolutely love the house of Chanel. Everything from that design house is feminine but powerful, chic but timeless, and always impossibly stylish. Even though Karl Lagerfeld spoke unpleasantly about plus size women, it cannot be denied that his work is brilliant and that he possesses an amazing eye for designs that will remain stylish for centuries. It also doesn’t hurt that everything that comes out of his mouth is effing hilarious! Love his sharp little witticisms.
My bags!! I’m the type of person to carry my life around with me (wallet, keys, cell phone, chapstick, camera, sunnies, umbrella, etc…), so a great bag is a must! I just purchased a huge Vince Camuto bag (complete with buttery soft leather, chain and leather fringe accents, and an oh-so-convenient cross body strap! I was in love the minute I saw it!
Insta-Chub-Away! It would be the miracle cream that would make all those annoying little bumps that make clingy clothing look bad go away…it would be like shapewear but without the discomfort and unsexiness!
Seriously?! Just packing for my weeklong trip home took me over 6 hours, lol! I’m definitely the kind of person to try and shove my entire closet into my luggage…I also absolutely need to weigh my luggage before I finish since I’m always over airline baggage allowances! But I guess if I were to pack for a fashion extravaganza without any time, I would shove my dark wash skinny jeans, a big bag (prob my Vince Camuto one), a chic black blazer, various fun tops (glittery, chain, and floral, most likely), and black ankle boots into my luggage! I’d also throw in a couple hot little dresses and a flashy little clutch for dressier outings—you never know when you might need to get a little jazzed up!
My fashion philosophy is to always wear what you love!! People are always getting a kick out of telling other people what to wear or what is “flattering” on them. In my humble opinion, that person’s opinion isn’t worth a damn! After all, what makes them so worthy of telling you what to wear? As long as you LOVE how you look and what you’ve got on, people will be able to pick that confidence up and you’ll look awesome to them regardless of a lot of other things! Also, when in doubt, go with black. Black will always be the new black.
Finding the perfect bra is probably one of our biggest headaches. Especially, if you’re a curvy woman with a larger chest.

Look at these lovely ladies!! Beyonce and Christina Hendricks! So gorgeous!
